After G Data exclude on C:\Solidworks FF, 30 GB RAM, High Performance. This is two VMs on the same Proxmox host. A real CAD PC can be a bit slower and still OK.

Desktop test: destination EXE on the file server, same EXE --join on the CAD PC, then browser for the blue button. Browser alone cannot run SMB.
